Location was perfect. Close to everything and all transport options. The hotel was surprisingly better than we thought. Cosy nice feel to it. Reception is cute and a nice place to chill. Fruit infused water available 24/7. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were on the 6th floor and at the front of the property. Lifts worked so that was good! Road was a quiet one way road but did have quite a bit of traffic and cars. Not so much people noise. Room was very big and had 2 double beds. Wardrobe, safe and a fridge with a TV. Didn't have any drawers for your stuff. It had a desk/make up table and a shower toilet area. Great hotel although our only negatives are the noise of the air conditioning unit, traffic noise and the light from the windows. We needed ear plugs (which the hotel actually supplied in your drawers) it seems quite common with these hotels to have noise. Breakfast was included. Different eggs every other day along with sausages and bacon but on a every other day basis. It has 1 or 2 pastry options plus cereal and coffee/tea. The hash browns were like rocks (I liked them like that but my family didn't) Coffee was horrible. But the beanstalk cafe a couple of doors up for some lovely coffee! Lots of eateries walkable as well as china town, union square all on your doorstep. We walked majority of San Francisco from here. Even up to Filmore and Fisherman's wharf. We would come back here.

Room 202 smelled a bit moldy, it was nice though. The breakfast wasn't bad and was quite popular. Great location!!

Quiet nice hotel. Good place to stay

The location is just 2mins walking down the union square and near to Chinatown also.

Cheap and great location! Older property so woke up several times every night to people flushing their toilets or taking a shower. The rooms are dilapidated: particularly the furnishings but everything is clean. The breakfast was horrible and not stocked well.

When we arrived, we were expecting a room with a view, based on a phone conversation we had with someone at the front desk, when we booked the room. The gentleman who checked us in said that no room like that was available but that we could have a different type of room, with a view, for a higher price per night. He said that because we had booked through a third party, he couldn't over ride that fee. We were about to settle into our original room when he called and said that a room with a view at our price had just been canceled and he moved us to that room. We really liked the room we ended up with. Other than that initial frustration, we enjoyed the hotel and the friendly staff. The location is accessible to lots of different public transportation lines making it easy to get to all the locations we wanted to see.

Great location The WiFi doesn’t work

Th breakfast is not with it

I loved the room I received. I had a view and it wasn't so far from the stairs. The breakfast was amazing as well. There should of been a bar. That would have made the stay even better. Besides that I do not have any complaints.

Room and breakfast were fine. Location was central. Got a relatively decent rate by comparison to some other nearby hotels Unnecessarily stressful checkin. Booked for a relative on Booking.com, the hotel had my credit card and knew I would not be present, but an unhelpful night staff demanded they provide an additional credit card on arrival, which they didn't have. I had also emailed the hotel about this in advance. Desk staff was refusing to allow them to check in to the prepaid room and insisting they had to leave, and "talk to the manager in the morning". It was late at night after a long flight. NO effort to problem-solve. Finally agreed to take my card number again over the phone. It took about one minute and went though just fine. I did check to be sure they didn't add any extra charges later; they didn't

Moldy, misty odor. Very small rooms.

I had a place to sleep, bath and have breakfast. I liked the staff. They were polite and nice. It wasn't all bad. They served breakfast everyday. I like the fact that they held our bags for us even though we checked out at 12:00. The A/C was loud and a window unit. I would figure every hotel had central A/C by now. The wifi was horrible. It would come and go. The bathtub was slippery. I fell and hit my head the first night I arrived and had to ask for a bath tub mat the next day, so I don't have a rinse and repeat. You have to be there for seven days to get room service. I had to ask them to bring clean towel and empty my trash everyday. The rugs look like they need an upgrade. If I ever return to San Francisco I will seek out a different hotel.
