If you are looking for something upscale, this is not your spot. The property is a bit dated, but has everything you need. If you want a great, safe location, with friendly staff, you will be happy you booked. We will stay again.

Its definitely basic, which is not bad at all for a night or two. And affordable. We came for a show at The Masonic which is only a few blocks away and this made a perfect home base. The room was tidy, bathroom clean- really just a bed, shower and TV- simple. Its an older building so dont expect modern amenities. And it's surprisingly quiet for its location. Staff were very helpful. Parking available for an additional fee, and the lot is directly across the street. Would definitely stay again for the purpose we needed it for.

Every morning put on pastries and croissants so we didn’t need to buy breakfast and water cooler and tea and coffee free in lobby.

The hotel is very old and in poor condition. The smell is disgusting, and it has no A/C—only a ceiling fan.

Requested extra pillows, got em.

Location and room size (good size and clean; plenty of towels) This is the second time I stay at this hotel. Elevator works better and faster. Coffee /tea available 24/7 is nice. I would have given a better score if there is placard for DO NOT DISTURB sign available. I want to help conserve water and reuse towel more than one days but there is no way to do it without the placard. Lamp, TV not working. I need to figure out myself or call for help. (No instruction how to reach front desk and the in-room phone to front desk not working. The worse thing is the voice message from the fire alarm went off at 2:30 AM with flashing, beeping sound and loud VOICE "low battery warning...." I had to use my own phone to call the hotel front desk to get someone to come shut it off. A man came to remove the battery and told me it will be replace tomorrow. It is the worse experience ever.

Location and price as well as staff The bed was terrible and not enough blankets. I need heavy blankets

Pastry for breakfast. Water dispenser at lobby. Great bed. Quiet. Shower water pressure is good. Poor ventilation although there are windows. Luckily helped with a ceiling fan. Bathroom floor isn't cleaned daily.

The room and bathroom were clean. Places of interest and restaurants were within walking distance.

The closeness to Dragon’s Gate for China Town. You can catch the cable car to Fisherman’s Wharf within a minute walking distance to Powell. It’s also close to Union Square. There’s a parking garage ($35 a day/Can leave 1x per day). Really wasn’t anything I disliked. Friendly staff. Great location. Great daily rate.

As others have said, the hotel is in a great location. It’s a bit run down. Walls are thin, so be prepared to hear your next door and upstairs neighbors. No coffee pots in the room, but they do have pastries, tea, and coffee downstairs. No ice machine, no mini fridge, no way of controlling your heat or cooling.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room did not have a refrigerator. The microwave was in the sitting area by the front desk. They have a computer and printer in the sitting area as well.

You could get a room View of the wall out the window … no refrigerator

A hidden gem in the heart of San Francisco. The staff folks are amazing, the rooms are comfortable and the price is extraordinary.

Big windows. Safe for money and documents. There is not very expensive parking nearby. Powerful water stream. Not many loud noises in the street. Free coffee in the lobby. No heater system. It was chilly at night. The lock on the bathroom was broken. Not convenient for several people

Great location and super friendly staff. They helped me retrieve my camera when I accidentally dropped it from the balcony - and it didn't break! Many thanks to Jorge. The rooms are definitely not luxurious but it was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Wonderful staff, Location, walking distance to metro station, good room size and free coffee and pastraies every morning There is up hill walking to reach the hotel
