Sonesta Essential Savannah

The owner of this hotel is so nice and cares so much about making a good experience for his guests. This is a typical ride side two star hotel. Nice bc the rooms are inside with an elevator. It’s a little old but they are really trying to make it the best experience they can. It was safe. The breakfast had the usual waffle make and eggs and sausage etc. but it also had a yogurt machine with fruit and granola which was nice. They also have a latte coffee machine! For the 98.00 I paid it was a good safe option and pleasant experience at a two star hotel. Rooms are huge so good for families with kids.

Perfect place to stop on a long travel day! Everything was perfect and the manager was very polite and helpful. Kids enjoyed themselves. Proximity to the restaurants and gas stations was very nice! Breakfast was a great selection.

Unlike other nice Sonesta properties I've stayed at, this one was disappointing. Very spartan. Bathroom was not very clean and shower/shower door were in need of repairs. Tiles need to be replaced, not simply painted over to look clean. I also couldn't log into the WiFi (I use a VPN and need bandwidth). Breakfast was very basic with reheated frozen egg pancakes and sausages, etc. No butter for toast or pancakes. No OJ, just apple juice. But the place was darn quiet, that's for sure...very few customers, after all.

The staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was good, the room I stayed in was clean, and it looked like the pictures. The only thing I would say needs help is the gym amenities. The treadmill was especially broken. Outside of that, I liked my stay. There were hotels around, which made the area feel safe and quiet. It was a 20-something-minute drive to Forsythe Park. It was a calm weekend.

We got a nice upgrade from the shift manager and he is very helpful explaining things.

The room was very nice. Ac was set on 77 when we arrived. Took a while to cool it down with the 100 degree heat outside. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was ok.

Very clean room, polite staff, great breakfast, comfy bed!

There was mold on the wall in the bathroom and it made the whole room smell like mold. We didn't realize it until we unpacked everything and opened the bathroom door. By that time we were too tired to ask for another room and move all our stuff. We just closed the bathroom door and got out of there fast the next morning.

Desk agent was rude upon check in. There was signs posted stating there was no early check-in and if early check-in was needed, an additional $50 charge would be added. When I went into the room, there was a wet towel behind the door shower glass door was extremely dirty and the phones did not work in the room. I switch rooms and the AC barely work and the property was not properly clean as the shower glass doors in that room was also dirty. My bed linens had stains on them but by this time I was tired and didn't bother to request another room change. It appears as though the property was renovated, but the renovations were subpar at best. The pictures on Expedia does not depict the physical property. I will never stay here again.

The staff is very kind and very friendly and helpful and informative for the questions that we were asking for stuff in the general area. Everything was great. Thank you.

Bed slept good but the bathroom needs a remodel and breakfast 3/10 but needed other things to drink other than apple juice and milk!

The place is dirty and the place is ran down old hotel, but the area is very nice and in the front desk guy was very nice

Nice place to stay, staff were courtesy, breakfast was good and clean room.

I will never stay here again. I’m not sure how it received the ratings it did. It was smelly, I could be sure the sheets had been washed, and it is just months away from becoming a hazard, much less a place you want to stay.

The room was ok but the bathroom (especially the shower) could have used a remodel/fixing up. One staff member was helpful and pleasant but another one couldn't really communicate in English.

Seems recently remodeled. Looks nice. No pool, plain Jane breakfast.
