HOTEL NEW TAKADA

Great location near the station, but tucked away on a quiet street. Room was showing its age with ceiling and beams being discolored.

Very convenient location. Clean rooms, good sized bed, nice bathroom, good amenities. At this hotel you have to return your key card to the front desk every time you leave. This is a little bit annoying, and should be unnecessary with a key card system.

The location was great! 2 minute walk from the Yamamoto line which basically connects you everywhere. Also, the room space was okay, you have enough space to put your bag down and suitcase down and still be able to move around a little. The staff is amazing, we interacted with three people at front desk and they were all extremely nice, and were willing and happy to help. I’m not a light sleeper but if you are, sometimes you can hear people outside passing by from the bars, honestly just wear earplugs and you’ll be more than okay. Other than that, I cannot say a bad thing about the actual property or staff.

Although it's a non-smoking room we got, the room reeked of cigarettes. I think the room itself is clean but the smell is off-putting. Opening the window might help a little. But again, if you cannot stand the smoke, you need to take a second thought.

The location is great, just a few minutes from Takadanobaba station, which is on the Yamanote line, it's very convenient. The hotel was easy to find, we quickly checked in and had no problems with the staff. My card was not accepted by booking, so I contacted the hotel to ask if I could pay in cash at arrival and they were ok with that, which I am really greatful for. The staff is very polite and pleasant to talk to. The room was small but it's okay, it had everything we needed. Overall, the hotel and the room were far better than I expected, I was happy we stayed there on our trip to Japan and would definetely recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo. I would also book it again for my next trip. There was nothing I didn't like. Probably, it would be perfect if the hotel had laundry services but there are coin laundries nearby.

Cleanest hotel we had by far. Wonderful small hotel right by the train station and lots of restaurants. Less touristy then other neighborhoods but we enjoyed that. Hosts were wonderful and kind. Great amenities. Can't rave enough about how clean it was. We would stay here again. Thank you! Leaving the hotel room key with the front desk when we would leave the hotel was different but we had no issues.

Great location, friendly and welcoming staff. The team is bilingual, which made communication smooth and easy. Recommended for a convenient and comfortable stay. The room has dusty walls and ceiling, and a strong musty smoke smell. I had to spray the room several times to make it tolerable.

Beds & Pillows were hard

I so love this hotel. I was not expecting a lot when I booked this hotel. But when we arrived we had a smooth check in. The room compared to the Japan hotels we stayed in the past this one has a decent room space for the price we paid. I really thought it would be small but we had enough space for 4 luggages and still had free space to walk. The room was clean. I also love the fact that the shower and toilet is separate and still inside your room. The room has hair blower, mini ref, free bottled water, bath robe and everthing you need. The location was so convenient very near to Takadanobaba Station, the next street has full of restaurants options and there are convenience stores nearby. If you walk after Takadanobaba Station you'll find their shopping district especially Don Quijote. The staff was so friendly and speaks good English. We felt the warmth, friendly and good customer service of their staff especially the reception area. The area is quiet despite it being meters away from the main road. We booked this hotel relatively cheaper compared to other hotels and it was definitely a value for money. When we check out we were able to even leave our luggage to check out a nearby 2nd Hand Street Store and when we returned we were able to even use their restroom. Highly recommended and this will be my go to hotel when in Tokyo especially that its a few stations away from Shinjuku. None. I love everything about this budget hotel.

The staff are warm and friendly. And one staff member can speak English so that's helpful for us. Great location. Close to the station and lots of restaurants nearby. The room may look old but we had a very comfortable stay. And you can borrow a neck or memory pillow if you have neck problems.

Since the weather is already getting excessively hot, it would be nice to have a thinner blanket to sleep with. That would be more pleasant.

The room was great - there was everything you may possibly need for a short stay. Bathroom very clean and easy to use. The staff was super nice and helpful and almost always available. The location may seem far from center but in reality it’s actually very convenient and easy to mange. It’s not noisy and the narrow streets around the hotel create a friendly vibe. Also the transport from the airport was very smooth. We had some troubles with our booking - completely on our side! - but the hotel managed it perfectly, swiftly and was very responsive. The pillows might have been a bit softer - it was a bit painful to sleep on them. I would also leave a short instruction in English/other languages on how to use the air conditioning because we had trouble with that.

how near it is to the subway and theres convenience stores outside as well nothing that i can think of. I liked our stay
