The 2 guys that work there needs a little training on taking care of customer service, the rooms were so dirty and they never fixed my TV I was there, 2 nights, and I asked to fix TV they never did.

Didn't have any towels or bath clothes you definitely get what you pay for when going here.

The worst hotel I ever stayed in

Our visit to this property lasted about 20 minutes. Went in to check in and learnt we had no reservation, THANK GOD. I have seen garbage dumps better maintained than that place. It was dark and dirty. One guest stopped by to say his bathroom was flooded. Was told the cleaner had just mopped it, a comment met with much derision. The lobby reeked of cigarette smoke. The place was not ADA compliant—there was no elevator to the upper floor or floors. I have no idea how it made it onto hotel.com. And that’s okay. That’s the last I will book through hotels.com

Air conditioner leaked all over the floor, no towels, no breakfast , not worth the stay.

Hotel’s disgusting. I was very close to just sleeping in the car, but too much inappropriate activity, I didn’t even want to leave my car out there, let alone sleep in it! I strongly advise to pick somewhere else, by any means necessary. This wouldn’t even be a last resort for me.

The property was located in an okay area, close to the outlets and about 15 minutes from anything you could want to do in the Virginia Beach area. The two rooms booked were on completely separate sides of the facility. When I booked I requested rooms close together because my children were staying in one room. I was never given a decline to the request so I assumed it was accommodated. Upon arrival, Room 314 was not clean, grit and grime COVERED the floors and baseboards. The toilet barely flushed. Smoke detector was taken down and batteries removed. But, the sheets seemed clean and there was a mattress protector. However, room 135 was on the bottom floor and as soon as we entered there were dead cockroaches and beetles in the floor. I immediately pulled the sheets back. There was no mattress cover and a cockroach climbed out from under the fitted sheet. When I asked for a room closer for the kids I was told there were no double rooms on the other side so that wouldn’t be possible due to not having double rooms close by. The curtains were open all weekend to a vacant double room right next to ours. We opted to not use room 135 due to the severe filth. Also, the hotel houses homeless/addicts on the bottom floor which walk around all night barefoot, smoking various substances, drinking, walking around half naked. We had to go buy air mattresses for the kids to sleep on the floor of our room due to the safety concerns. We went out to eat Saturday night, came back to the hotel and neither of our keys were working. From 9PM-9:45PM we were locked out of our room. No one at the hotel would answer the phone, the front office and night window were locked. I was on the phone with police to come get our things from the room when the front desk guy casually walked up and asked what I needed. I let him know room 135 was disgusting. And we weren’t using it. He didn’t say a word. Made a new key and sent us on our way. Also, no matter how many guests / beds are booked, you get one towel and one washcloth per room.

My experience at this hotel was very disappointing. The property was in poor hygienic condition, and I found cockroaches on the premises, which is unacceptable for any lodging establishment. Additionally, the customer service was unsatisfactory, and there were no towels provided in the room upon arrival.they overcharged 25 for service fee when I was there

Location was convenient My key card did not work on my second night there I had to sleep in my vehicle till from 2am till 9am when someone finally showed up and then still had to check out at 11am

I understand that an economy hotel won’t be luxurious, but basic cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service should still be expected. Unfortunately, this stay missed the mark in almost every category. We were charged an additional $6 service fee just to receive our room key on top of a nearly $188 room rate, which felt excessive considering the overall condition of the property. Upon entering the room, it was immediately obvious that housekeeping and maintenance had been neglected. The bathroom floor had visible hair and dirt, and the washcloths provided were stained. There was only one set of towels in a room with a king-size bed, and only two standard pillows were supplied. The bathroom itself was in poor condition. The bathtub faucet leaked continuously, there appeared to be old grime and possible mold around the door trim and tile edges, and the bathroom door was cracked and damaged. Several areas throughout the room showed deferred maintenance, including damaged tile around the hot tub plumbing and worn finishes. One of the more unusual features was the presence of small disco balls hanging over the in-room hot tub, which gave the room an odd atmosphere rather than the relaxing experience we expected. The television remote was broken to the point that the TV could not be properly turned off or controlled. Small details like this add up and make the room feel uncared for. Customer service was equally disappointing. There was no one in the office when we arrived, requiring us to call a phone number posted on the window to check in. Both employees we interacted with were unhelpful and unfriendly. We were also told we couldn’t check in early because the room “wasn’t ready,” which was difficult to understand after seeing its condition. Finally, the overall environment around the property made us uncomfortable.

I did not like anything about the Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Virginia Beach Norfolk I booked two rooms for me and my family for my son’s graduation and was HIGHLY disappointed. For starters my king room’s AC was not working upon arrival. When my husband tried to turn it on the front panel fell off. We contacted the front desk and was told that the maintenance man would fix it. It took an hour and we were sweating profusely. While the AC was being fixed we discovered that the shower knob on our double bed room was broken and lying in the bathtub. There was only one towel and rag that was already used ! Will insert pics. Realized that the shower knob in the king room was broken && lying in the tub as well so we contacted the front office again. They came and stuck the knob on and apparently found the situation laughable. It fell off again. King bed room had NO RAGS and 3 towels. Front office receptionist was very nasty throughout the entire situation and when I requested my my money back I was told, “You can try!” Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The front office smells like cigarettes and marijuana. People are just hanging around outside. This was a ghetto experience that I wish I didn’t have to deal with. My husband, my kids and I are extremely unhappy. Also there are holes all over the comforter. Please find another hotel. Any one is better than this.

They add a fee at check-in if you book through a third party. So the total rate quoted by the third party is not the final amount of the room.

Disappointing
-
The hot tub was why I bought the room, it was not clean at all!!! But the towels were stained and the room itself is falling apart.

The room was dirty when I got there, we didn’t get any housekeeping services, the bathroom was so disgusting and at check in they charged me 10 dollars per night for the bathrooms and I didn’t get a towel or toilet paper. The pillows got a cigarette smell. Somebody hit my car in the parking lot. Everything was just terrible I do not recommend it at all. If you try to go out of the room and get some fresh air the only thing you will get it’s weed smell.
