Wyndham Virginia Beach Oceanfront

The grill was a nice touch, especially since we didn't want a long drive to eat dinner.

The property was great. However, the Expedia advised the property with breakfast included and we were charged for breakfast. From now if I book anything with Expedia I would definitely call the property to confirm and make sure it’s not false advertisement by Expedia. The restaurant staff told I was not the only charged for breakfast since they don’t have breakfast included. I’m very disappointed with Expedia.

Unfortunately the only thing enjoyable at this hotel is the view. Rooms are poorly maintained, old and when I arrived room look dusty, beds were poorly made, rail from bottom of bed was exposed and I tripped twice. Room was not cleaned, towels not provided or toiletries. When i told the front desk about it they just said oh ok with no solutions.

Glorified motel. They assigned a room on the ground floor next to the elevators, laundry and gym. Really noisy. Staff did not accommodate our request to be moved to a higher floor. The patio opens to a common area shared with outdoor dining. So no privacy. If you are looking for a nice place to stay look at the Hilton and Marriot hotels.

I liked the view from the hotel restaurant, and the food was delicious. The room and it's amenities were in minor disrepair.

Staff was very friendly and helpful but the hotel wasn’t the cleanest. From the moment we got to the room, we noticed the gnats. Bed sheets also had stains so we had to have them replaced.

This property is set on a private beach area in the north end of town. Away from the hustle and bustle. Just stunning! The entire building was impeccably clean and very relaxing!!! I would definitely go back!

What I didn’t like was the fact that my room was only cleaned 1 time even though we were here 5 days! After 3 verbal complaints they finally cleaned it…smfh!!

Liked the location and restaurant. Room was a poor renovation with wallpaper peeling around the sink fixtures and exposing mold underneath. Ceiling was discolored and some wallpaper bubbling. They did replace the broken AC upon arrival and brought us extra towels and provided pool towels. Ice machine on our floor was broken and the hallway carpet was discolored. The beds were comfortable. The property looks like 3 separate hotels/motels that were all purchased to make a Wyndham complex so I expect room quality varies widely depending on the building you’re in.

I lake it because is a private place.

I really enjoyed that the property was on the father end with a private beach. Beach days were not crowded, low tide was fantastic everyday. All around had the best vacation and experience! Plan on coming again next year!

I like that it was on beachfront easy access to parking.

They told us the wrong room number and took us in a wild goose chase at 8pm to find our room!

Our room was not very clean at all. Filthy bedsheets, outlets hanging halfway out of the wall, not to mention when a phone charger was plugged in, it tripped the breaker. Called down to the front desk for new sheets, we were told they would be sent up and never were. Then, when maintenance was called up to our room to fix it, he wanted to complain that we interrupted his lunch. Pool was filthy, there was a thick green film on the tiles inside of the pool, water was very cloudy, and hot tub was maybe a 1/4 full of water. Kindly explained to the front desk at checkout everything that happened and were told that because we booked through a 3rd party site (Expedia), that we would only be granted a $7.00 refund, on a $260 room. What a joke.

One elevator of the 3 worked. The pool needs to be shocked, my room was dirty upon arrival crumbs and old glow sticks. They did change the towels and make the beds, unfortunately they didn't clean the shower or vacuum. The poor staff was way over worked and basic upkeep of the property was poor.

We were able to do an early check in which was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room seemed clean and smelled nice. The property itself was not well maintained and dumpy looking. The coffee machine in our room did not work properly. There was no ice in the 3 ice machines that I checked at 9:30am. While the location is directly on the beach it is a very wide beach and long walk to the water.

The property itself is okay, it has a mildew scent in the halls, but that’s more of a property management concern. The rooms are clean. The customer service is great! Front desk is super friendly and accommodating.
