Howard Johnson by Wyndham Winter Haven FL

Bathroom was clean but bathtub was dirty and the condition of door was not good ,in short when you enter to the room it was ok but when you enter to bathroom you feel really disappointed . If you are looking for cheap options like $60-$70 it’s good but more than that it’s not worth.

The pictures did not match when we got there. We didn’t even stay we booked somewhere else. I wouldn’t recommend.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds and pillows. Helpful and friendly frost desk staff. Breakfast could be better though. Not much of a variety.

Like that the check in is quick and efficient. Also the rooms are nice and quiet.

The continental breakfast was very skimpy, there was nothing really there. a few prepackaged muffins and some fruit but nothing to even display as a breakfast included in the stay. However, everything else was really nice and clean. The hotel staff was friendly

Decent place for the price..... wouldn't use a romantic getaway.

1.) This hotel has a major problem with damp, moldy rooms, and they smell very bad. My clothes felt damp all the time, as did my sheets when I went to bed. While I was there, they shampooed the carpets, which made the rooms even worse and did very little for the stench. My plan was to stay 2 weeks due to my brother being in the hospital. 2.) The refrigerator in my room did not work. I asked the older man who is the owner/manager and wears glasses if I could have one that worked. It never happened. Finally, after 2 days of not getting it, I asked again, and this time he did it. In the meantime, I had to throw out food because I had no refrigeration. 3.) I did not know the password to sign in to the wi-fi, so I called the front desk, and the same older man answered. I asked him for the password; he had a very strong accent from his country, and I could not understand him. He ended up shouting at me several times. I had no idea what he was saying. Feeling intimidated, I just hung up. This man has no business working with the public because he is rude, and you can tell he hates his job or people in general. I checked out early due to him and his behavior.

These places were THE PLACE TO BE back in the day and I’m glad to see one still well maintained and glimpses into the past with old Howard Johnson framed pictures. If you’re looking for a great deal, this is it.

Staff was alright. Very close to Legoland. Sketchy location. Very dirty establishment. 1st night I could not sleep due to overpowering mold smell. Had to change rooms 3 times due to disgusting smell and overall cleanliness & every single room smelt like mold. Dead bugs on floor/carpet, stained fabrics and towels. Maybe good for 1 night but not for a week stay especially with children. Carpet looks like it never has been shampooed - very sticky soot feeling. Bathroom “fan“ (or whatever vent system that was supposed to be) full of mold, cracked tub, no ventilation .. the list can go on. Kids like the pancake maker but “continental breakfast” was a little far fetch. Spend the extra money for your comfort/peace of mind!! This place was not it

The location to legoland and a clean pool 1st we were given a room that was already occupied , giving us and the occupants heart failure when we walked in. 2nd the breakfast consisted of old apples and bananas, great value yogurt from the grocery store, coffee and juice, rasin bran/some sweet cereal.

This hotel has a good location. The price is very good for the area. People were friendly at front desk. The pool area and Mexican restaurant seemed nice for the property. A/C, water and bed overall in the room were good. There was also a working mini fridge. This properly is aged. I'd recommend spending a little more and stay in the area if you are a tad picky. There are people on their 1st floor patio sitting outside smoking weed and drinking. It's not a kid friendly property. The rooms are older and the mattress was VERY firm. You might like this, but I didn't. The breakfast is very basic there are limited ice and vending machines.

Very well kept remodeled. Clean and affordable

The carpet in the rooms is dirty which you can see by the black up you feet is you walk around barefoot. The gates on the pool are almost impossible to open to get inside or to get out once you manage to get in. The control knobs are broken and need to be replaced. The breakfast is only cereal, juice and coffee none of which is great. Sugar filled cereal is the last thing I would choose for breakfast. The staff were nice and easy to deal with, which was the only good thing I found.

Nothing The entire hotel was filthy. Our room smelled, it didn’t have a lock on the sliding glass door! You could only lock it with a pole! The bathroom door was covered in a white substance. Stains on the walls. Terrible blankets! Air barely worked. Continental breakfast was a joke. No luggage carts. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy!!
