Best Western Premier Des Moines-Ankeny Hotel

Coffee was very good and breakfast was as expected. The staff was very friendly at checkin and also serving the breakfast . It was a busy weekend for the hotel because of a softball tournament in the area and I would say they handled it very well.

Room had a sliding bathroom door that was not fastened to the floor so no privacy. Took several minutes to get hot water to shower. Pool was so cold we could not swim. Eggs and sausage at breakfast were very cold.

Excellent hotel amenities and cleanliness. Super helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was ok, maybe need some extra help keeping items stocked and available in busy weekends.

Liked the decor, particularly the outdoor facilities facing the lake. Breakfast selections a little lame.

Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Pool area was clean. Pool was a little chilly but it felt good after being in the heat all day. This will be our go to stay in Ankeny from now on! Loved our view of the pond and watching the geese from our room and the patio out back.

Everything was great! Just didn’t like the sliding door for the bathroom since there wasn’t a lock. Other than that, our stay was fantastic!!

Clean, convenient location, and reasonably priced. We had problems with our tv, the front desk came up to disconnect and reconnect the HDMI cables, but it lost sound several times. That was annoying.

Rooms were great, but they were extremely hot, with no option to set the thermostat lower than 68, and could not open a window. Also, the bathroom sink lighting is extremely dim. Could not find a way to make it brighter, so it made it difficult to see well when getting ready for our event. Otherwise everything else was wonderful!

The hotel had a modern look in the lobby and my room. I liked the walk-in shower. The bed was very comfortable but the pillows didn't provide support. The hot breakfast was satisfactory; the fresh yogurt bar was unique.
