Good location. Nice hotel with spacious rooms. Easily walkable to everywhere.
-
Reasonably priced. The blackout shades in our king suite didn’t close completely so light got in, and not good water pressure. But otherwise fine and in a good location.

I have very good experience

First of all, I prepaid my stay. When I got to the hotel they made me pay again, overcharging the amount I had paid for. After a while taking to Expedia over the phone, they reversed the transaction. ( still pending after 5 days) The hotel has “hidden daily fees” of $27 for amenities. $77 for Valet parking. To be honest wasn’t what I expected. I ended up paying much more than what was expected.

Great location!

Everything was good. The only thing I had a problem is with the AC. It was very hot in the room. They came and fix it, but it was still hot but other than that everything was good.

The rooftop bar staff was exceptional.

Great place to stay in Chicago. Hotel lobby smells amazing and is so chic. The rooftop bar was awesome with happy hour specials. Our room was so cute and beds were very comfy- great place to pass out in at the end of the night. The hotel is centrally located by some pretty sweet places , if you stay at the Godfrey go check out the bar “moms place” . Best place ever!

Great!!

Great location and fantastic staff. Extremely walkable to work and great restaurants! Will definitely book again!

Parking situation was a little confusing initially but ultimately fine, you need to scan a QR code to enter your info for parking. We arrived late (10:30pm) but learned that the rooftop bar had closed the kitchen at 10:30pm (even though the hours are listed until 12am). This was one of the main reasons we had booked the hotel so that was a big disappointment (and there were not many local restaurants serving food at that point). If you will be arriving late, make other plans for food!

Separate bedroom is nice but unfortunately unnecessary. Open space would’ve been better for me.

We had a great stay here for the weekend! We couldn’t find the ice machines, that was the only complaint. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Chicago!
-
Great stay. Got in to Chicago early and the room was ready. Super fast check-in.

I booked a city view suite and I didn’t like the fact that it was in the corner of the building with a wall directly facing the window. Also didn’t have a microwave in the suite? Feel like that should be a given.

If you are going to insist on a dress code at the bar area I expect you to keep the bar area in tip top shape and that is not the case. Everything looked as if it were 10 years old and in need of cleaning or replacement. Bottoms of booths dirty, floor boards dirty, tops of white umbrellas brown (could see this from my room). The food and cocktails at the bar was good but for somewhere that makes you feel like you have to dress up I would expect more. As for the room - this was even worse. I have stayed at Holiday Inn's that were better appointed in terms of amenities. Plastic and paper cups - again not 4.5 star. Towel bar in the bathroom was coming off the wall and the plaster wall was cracked as a result. Shower was standard 3 star quality. Furniture had scratches everywhere. Floor boards scuffed. Curtains looked old and discolored. There was also no where to sit other than the bed and an office chair. Usually there is a chair or couch - not here. Fridge was basic - for a 4.5 star hotel I would have expected a mini bar and snacks as part of the fridge setup. Little to no closet space and ZERO drawers except for the nightstand. Carpet by elevator - stained. There was an option for snacks on demand via room service but I would have much rather had a snack purchase area in the lobby.

Place is great with having the club attached to it. However i felt like the price was a little high for how the room was. The worst part was the Valet, took absolutely forever and the bottom of my door scraped the curb badly because they parked it way too close.

I was able to check in early for a work conference and they accommodate me expeditiously! Excellent customer service. I left a terrible hotel and then checked in the Godfrey hotel which is Amazing! I give Godfrey 10 stars!
