Location & Breakfast Cleanliness

He also offered us an excellent room at the back of the building (away from the highway noise). Room 142. The staff member was extremely helpful and attentive. Unfortunately, I don’t remember his name, but we chatted a bit and I know he is from a city near Mumbai, India. He is an excellent employee. There is also a Denny’s right next to the hotel (within walking distance), which is very convenient. Since the hotel breakfast is quite basic, it’s a good option to supplement it there. Parking is available on-site and free of charge.

The room was clean and location is great Room was connected to another guest room with a door separation and they were extremely loud effecting my ability to sleep. This is the second time staying at this location and noise being an issue.

Location, much more quieter in back of hotel Noise on upper floor

Clean and easy to get in and out of of Maybe the outside renovation. Can use a little more landscaping with flowers and things of that nature to bring the value up. This hotel sits in the middle of uptown where the money is. It’s important to match the demographics around you. And uptown is known for tons of millionaires .. so adding some flowers, landscaping, trees and maybe even a new paint job

One of the worst stays at a hotel I've ever had to experience

Not much honestly. It was close to downtown, but the neighborhood itself was undesirable. I had one positive interaction with one morning staff member who apologized for everything and tried to assist with a refund. The bedding was stained and appeared to be unclean. The room was not quite as pictured, and seemed to be more dated/damaged than appeared in the photos. I had issue with the evening staff not charging the correct card for my security deposit, despite telling him 3 times that I would like to use a separate card. He was unapologetic, unhelpful, and overall disappointing as far as hotel staff goes. There was a man who sat in his truck parked in the parking lot outside of our room. He had his shirt pulled up over his belly, and had the driver side door partially open and windows down. He didn’t appear to be on a phone, he appeared to just be a watching the comings and goings of people staying in the hotel. It made me feel unsafe and uncomfortable. At one point, we could hear arguing outside the door, and felt that the door locks were not sufficient if someone truly decided they wanted to try to get in. There was a very strong urine and poo smell on the side yard marked for pets. This is expected from a hotel that allows pets, but unfortunately - this side yard was near the staircase closest to our room so we had to walk past the smell every time we went up or down. I ended up not even spending a single night here. I re-packed my car, gave the room keys back to the unhelpful front desk staff, and went to a different hotel. I was told I would get a refund for at least one of the nights that I didn’t stay - but they couldn’t guarantee getting a refund for both. I’ve gotten my security deposit back but still no refund for the room itself. I have half a mind to report this hotel to the Better Business Bureau or FTC. I don’t think anyone should spend over $100 for two nights at this hotel. This particular location should be $30 - $40/night TOPS. I was also supposed to get a call from the manager, Amy to discuss the refund of the first night and I have yet to hear from anyone at the hotel.

The room had certain smell like humid or pets pee. But overall great location for my business in that part of the city

I had hair trimmed everywhere, I went to the office to report it at the time and he told me to fix it with spice... bad service.
