Just be aware that the doors are very short!

Our window was nest to stage outside and couldn't sleep at all. Windows rattled and boom boom boom until 1 or 2 am. That part was bad. Probably not staying here again because of that. But the room was nice and clean that part was good.

The air conditioning was more like a heater in the original room we booked. We had to work with staff to get a different room with an individual thermostat. That front desk associate was very helpful. It did come with a hefty additional cost, however.

The worst room ever. I was told I would go to the newer portion - there was literally no air conditioner - the bed was horrible. Worst stay I've ever had in vegas

This is a clean and well maintained property on Freemont Street in downtown Las Vegas. You can hear the music from Freemont Street in your room.

The property is an older property which is well maintained and has an excellent staff. The property is in a great location being on Freemont.

Confusione recepion says Valet Parking is free, staff says "I have no salery, needs Tip" and very embarrassingly that I have non cash, and the staff has mom way to receive tip by card payments, wasted so many times

A good price on the room and a decently maintained property (opened in 1906). It is the oldest Hotel in Las Vegas, so some aspects of the basic designed have not changed but, it has been remodeled. For me the issues started when checking into my room. The side of the Hotel that they gave me a room key for faces the "Freemont Street Experience". If you aren't familiar with it, it can be fun for some. Not so much for others. Right outside my 3rd floor window was a bandstand with a D.J. playing rock music. I measured the sound level with an app on my phone @90 decibles inside my room. That's the equivalent of someone driving a motorcycle through my room at 60 miles an hour, sustained for the whole time I lay on the bed trying to get some rest. It was so loud that the headboard on the bed was vibrating with the base guitar and drums in the music. I was told by the front desk it would be like that until 2am when it would stop. I requested another room (non- smoking / I have asthma). "Sorry I was told. We're all sold out. If you want you can come down to the front desk & we can give you some ear plugs". Really??? That was the answer? The ear plugs were ineffective even with a pillow over my head. They were not willing to give me another room unless I spent another $120 over and above what I had already paid. I finally accepted the smoking room. I will not be staying at the Golden Gate again. My lungs still hurt.

Very clean and well maintained historic hotel. Air conditioning was fantastic and kept the room cool even in +95f temperatures. It would have been nice to have a fridge and coffee maker but not having those seems typical in Las Vegas. I would definitely stay here again.

Nothing Noting

The access to the Circa pool was nice and convenient. Our room was right next to the Fremont Street Experience Main Stage and the windows were 50 year old single pane glass. Even with the windows and curtains closed it was like we were front row for each and every concert. The music went until 2am on the first night and even later the second night. We asked to change rooms and were unable to, they offered ear plugs but were out of them originally. They called us back like 3 hours later saying they had more earplugs. That side of the hotel rooms should have some type of disclaimer when you book them saying that it will be impossible to sleep because of the noise until about 3am. Some people I am sure would be fine with that but not me.
