JGSTAY - Times Square

Location is great. Rooms are small but have what you need. Only thing to consider is that it has no elevators and there are 5 floors. Just the fact that it does not have elevators, but the staff is gentle and will move your luggage for you.

The location and price were great, and for a short-term work stay by myself it was all I could need. Yes, there is no elevator (I prefer taking the stairs anyway). Every room has a private bathroom (though it is a "wet-bath" setup). Going in with these expectations you will have a lovely stay - the rooms are clean, very well stocked, and cozy. An elevator for mobility-impaired guests, and maybe a full shower-stall so one doesn't have to dry the floor after a shower - but between choosing for a shared bathroom and a private wet-bath, I'll take the wet-bath every time!

The room is really small so plan accordingly. My wife and I kept bumping into each other in the room. Also the bathroom shower has no door. So the whole bathroom gets wet when you shower. Also staff didn’t pick up the phone for a whole hour straight when I needed towels.

The site didn’t state that the hotel is walk up and no elevator which is very inconvenient for elderly like me. Had I known it to be walk up place I wouldn’t have selected it.

Super tiny rooms, good for 2 people. No elevator though, so if you have asthma notify the property way in advance!

Room was small (but not cramped). It was very clean and modern, and the bathroom / shower were great! In a perfect location for theatres (on 8th Ave, between 46th and 47th). Lots of food options nearby, and only a few blocks from Times Square. Very friendly staff. Water and coffee available for free. Only possible hitch . . . no elevator! So if you are good with taking the stairs, this place is wonderful! (there are even signs saying that taking the stairs is good exercise, and good for the heart and legs!) Overall, great place!

The hotel is conveniently situated near Times Square and key attractions in upper Manhattan. The room is compact yet well-maintained and spotless. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only downside to this hotel is there's no elevator. We had to lug our bags up 5 flights of stairs. But, if you ask at the front desk, they'll help you with your luggage. You still have to walk up all those stairs to your room. If that's not a problem for you, the hotel is comfortable, and I'd recommend it.

It was very c lean and in the perfect place in the city. So close to everything and so easy to get around The stairs lol. But was not bad at all

The place for the price charged is absolutely basic, very small room enough just for a small double bed. The photo of the room advertised on your site is not a fair representation of the room advertised on your site at all. The bed was clean and comfortable but the room for the price is really tiny.

If you stay on a low floor because of there being no elevator, you can literally hear and feel the subway running underneath. And, the Air Conditioner did not work well.

Excellent location, polite stuff. They had luggage storage service which was very convenient and also allowed really check-in once the room was ready. Overall great service. Good wifi. The room is extremely tiny. There is no proper bathroom door, just the sliding one, which closes halfway. No elevator.

Warning-do not stay in this hotel. There is no mention that there is no elevator in the discription. It is not handicap accessible and if you're like us and given a 5th floor room it is 10 flights of steps you will climb. Try doing that with your luggage climbing. The room is tiny and the water from the shower leaked all over the bathroom. It isn't worth $20 let alone the money we paid.

my go to if i have to stay in the city

The room was quite small but the bed was comfortable and the air conditioner worked well. The bathroom was a wet room design, so water easily went beyond the shower. Fortunately it stayed mostly on the floor, so I used an extra towel to dry it off (I hate my feet getting wet when I come back in the bathroom to do something). I was annoyed that they demanded a $5 charge to leave my bag the day of check out. I search for that service when booking a room and saw nothing about a charge in the listing. The biggest reason I will not stay here again is that there is no elevator and my room was on the fifth floor. I definitely did not see that in the listing. I think that kind of information should be blazened across the top or be in the title of the listing. Fortunately I only had a backpack, but I didn't enjoy climbing all of those stairs after walking around the city all day. They put signs in the stairwell about how climbing stairs is better for you. Oh, please. That did not help my annoyance at all.

Great location, easily walk to Times Square, the Theater District, plenty of restaurants, etc. The room is a great use of space and clean!
