I stay here often but this time I was surprised by the u

My only real complaint was the beds, they were rock hard to the point that I woke up with a sore hip! Thank goodness each bed had a lot of pillows so I just made myself a bit of a cocoon :) Other than that it was decent. Basic coffee and small muffins/pastries were served each morning in the lobby till about 9:30. Good location walking distance to little Italy and chinatown as well as soho.

Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Hotel located minutes from Chinatown and Little Italy. Great location to Canal Street on the subway and then to all destinations in Manhattan. A great find

The room was clean and there were clean towels. The staff was nice in general. There were complimentary coffee, cookies, and water at the lobby. First of all, the rooms were tiny. We were three people and had to squish in the room. There was practically nowhere to place out three cabim luggages. There was only a coffee machine in the room and some cofffe but the plastic cups were not renewed at every clean so I had tp get some myself in the lobby. Second, there was no lobby in the hotel where you can wait for a short amount of time. This was a huge downplay as the room was also so small so there was nowhere to spens time. Yes it is New York but the hotel in my opinion was really expensive for what you get there.

Charged too many fees. There’s a breathing fee, a walking fee, a fee to open the door. It’s ridiculous.
-
Good relatively inexpensive option in SoHo, with good location, clean room and friendly staff.

The Solita is in a wonderful location. Easy access to mulitple subway stations (Canal, Prince, Spring). The area is lively and has something for everyone. Chinatown and Little Italy are less than a five minute walk. If neither of those are your style, the trendy shops of Soho are five minutes in the other direction. The staff are very friendly and helpful as well. Breakfast treats in the morning as well as coffee to take with you to go as you start your day. Cookies when you return in the evening (don't take too many before you head back out for a wonderful meal). A great place for any jumping off point to explore the city.

The location is very strategic for us as first-time visitors to New York. We came as a family, and we really enjoyed it. The staff is friendly and warm.

Close to everything Booking

Overall, this is an excellent value for the price. The location was superb for the places we were visiting this trip. Drawbacks include not having even a small fridge in the rooms, so we couldn't bring leftovers from our meals. The windows are paper thin so we could hear all the traffic and street noise at all hours.

They didn’t bring my deposit back

Location is excellent, proximity to Soho, Little Italy, Lower East Side. The property is a little old, the elevator slow, rooms could use some spritzing up, newer furniture, nicer toiletries... all in all fine and good for the price, but not exactly pampering.
-
Very comfy bed, good location, coffee and pastries in the morning The water in the shower was very hot, it was not possible to adjust the temperature
-
Easy access to everything Clean Everything we needed

AC is so bad
-
Standard clean small room with really bad Wi-Fi.
