Was a great location right in the heart of Chicago, very close to many great restaurants and easy to access the trains and public transportation.

Nice place in a central location

I had to stay on top of the staff to make sure I got the items I needed. When I arrived, the bathroom shower soap was out. I asked the front desk three times for them to send someone to refill it. I also asked for a tidy up in the morning one day, and they never tidied the apartment up. The bedroom shade was dusty and broken, the rooms were super tiny, and the room didn't have a mini fridge.

Cool place right in the heart of downtown

Easy check in, clean room, helpful staff, great location.

The only good thing about this hotel is its location.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Rooms are very small, first room had a bad smell and the AC did not work. We were moved to a room with working AC but it was very small and a little dirty (stained curtains and walls).

Also, we left a bag of laundry in one of the cubbies. We did not notice until the next morning. I called and was directed to housekeeping where I left a message. I did not get a return call until 4 days later. After giving them a description they called back the next day to ask for further description. That was the last I have heard from them. Outside of the above, the location was great. Very walkable. The front desk staff and bartender at Broken Shaker were great. The breakfast menu was yum and reasonably priced. Very convenient.

Com had to ask for refund since we third party booked. Room was tiny, carpet worse for wear, outlets were so loose we could only reliably charge one device out of 4 outlets, and of course, it was very warm. Even the slight crack of the window was made worse by the loud electric/machinery noises in the parking garage next door. Horrible and should have heeded reviews I had read.

The room was the size of a closet!!! Horrible lighting in the bathroom. The room wasn’t clean. Will never stay here again

    Very good

Was in Chicago for one night. The hotel was close to where I need to be that day and the facility was very nice. I chose a quad room due to the shortness of my stay and the price of the o e night stay. But I regretted my choice having to share a room with three strangers and had to sleep on a top bunk bed. The hotel was full at that time so I couldn't change my room to a larger private room. So, I stayed out late as I possibly could that night and went back to the room only because everything was closed at 4am. I would stay at the hotel again. But I will NEVER choose a shared space again.

Very fun, with a great vibe.

The bathroom was clean, but the main room was very dusty, and there was a stain on one of the pillowcases. Will not stay again.

My third stay, and as always the staff are friendly. I love the comfort of the rooms, they are cozy, with a nice little desk and of course the bar and cafe are great. Toilet was running, maintence couldn't fix it. I had to turn the water off between flushes. Shower drain had someone else's hair in it, took them more than 24 hours to clean it. Nobody ever cleaned the room despite putting out the service sign. Also it got expensive.

    Exceptional

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

The AC was broken in our room and there was not anyone to fix it. There was no cold water to offset the hot water. No wash cloths. There was also a light in the room that had a broken switch so it could not be turned off

The location is ideal for our stop on our road trip. The vibe of the hotel was very cool- my teenagers loved it. We stayed in a private quad which served our needs for a comfy bed and bathroom. The price was perfect and overall the hotel exceeded our expectations.

Great bar great staff and great area to stay in everything is close by

The area was was the only good thing about booking here. No AC for the entire stay, our room was 85 degrees inside and felt like a sauna. Our Ac wall unit had blue coolant coming down the wall and the light was red and would not work. They said they sent someone to look at it and couldn't figure it out. I asked to move rooms and they said they were unable to do that due to being fully booked. I asked if we could at least have a fan and they said they were limited on resources. They did say that they would compensate me for my stay, and that I needed to reach out to booking.com to receive my refund. When I reached out to booking.com they said that the hotel denied any compensation. I looked this up on Google reviews, and the no AC, and not compensating people back on their stay is a regular occurrence at this hotel. I am going to report this hotel, for not providing AC in a hotel or apartment building in the summer is illegal in Chicago.
