Location is excellent! The hotel is generally well-kept. I have been there 2 years in a row and this was my third time. I loved it enough to keep coming back and planned to make it my annual summer vacation spot. However, this time, housekeeping could be improved…my room wasn’t cleaned during my 6-day stay. When I asked mid-week for a change towels, re-supply toilet paper, etc, the bare minimum was done, no cleaning was done, no beds made, no bath mat was replaced, and they left the dirty towels and bags of garbage on the chairs outside my room. Next morning I asked a cleaner to move them. Not so happy with that. I would also like to see the return of the cabanas on the beach for use by the guests and the hours of use for the beach chairs and umbrellas extended to 6pm (or at the very least 5:30). There should also be rules for the pool, specifically pertaining to no ball throwing in the pool (even if the ball is a soft sponge ball)….kids and adults were throwing the ball to each other and I found it inconsiderate with other guests wanting to enjoy the pool.

AVOID. Room itself was ok. kind of beat up. no soap ever provided. Primary issue was that housekeeping stole a credit card from the room which was hidden inside a zippered backpack and used to attempt up $1,000+ of charges at a gas station and 2 Publix stores. Police Report filed with Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Hotel management was uncooperative and only said they "trust their staff" in spite of the evidence presented to them. The police will take it from here, but the management really didn't care at all - and maybe were in on it since they showed such little surprise and didn't care to investigate at all. Stay at your own risk! On a positive note, the beach bar was very good as was the chair/umbrella attendants on the beach.

Easy check-in, a fridge in the room, nice pools (though chairs are limited), and great live music at Jimmy's. The hotel grounds appeared well maintained—we saw painters and maintenance crews working daily. Parking is tight, with overflow across the street. The boardwalk foot shower barely sprays, some stairs need repair, and several hammocks had broken strings and no shade. While we enjoyed Jimmy's, the restaurant area wasn't as well maintained. We found sand in seats and plastic cups and lime wedges left on cushions, and wobbly stairs. Housekeeping was another frustration. Despite the resort fee which includes housekeeping, our room wasn't cleaned, sand wasn't swept, and toiletries weren't replenished. We requested shampoo and body wash, but they never arrived, leaving us to rely on bar soap. Beach chairs are put away before 6 PM, even though summer sunsets are after 8 PM. Apparently, the chairs have a stricter curfew than most teenagers. Overall, we enjoyed our time, but stronger enforcement of the non-smoking policy and clearer communication about housekeeping would improve the experience.

This was a last minute stay at St Pete Beach so hotel availability was limited. We arrived around 3 pm, check in is 4pm, and was told that we could check in but our room was not ready and they would text us when the room was ready. We waited until around 4:15 pm and did not receive a text so we went in to check on the room. We were told it was ready. I don’t know why we didn’t receive a text message informing us it was ready. Our room was close to the pool on the second floor. There are no elevators. The room was nothing like the website. It was small, smelled like mold, the furniture was old and dirty, the end tables and lights next to the bed were mismatched, the bathroom was somewhat updated but the mirror was rusty and the toilet ring on the wall was rusted and pulling away from the wall. There was not a big light to turn on and the fan in the bathroom did not work. The headboard was dirty. The door had a gap underneath it and on the side. The website states the beds have pillow top mattresses but I think that is not accurate. The bed was so hard it hurt every joint in my body. The pool was nice but there were a lot of people drinking in the pool and very little space to enjoy it. The beach was close and they have chairs, umbrellas and beach towels available. The parking is crazy. I see a lot of good ratings about this hotel by people and I feel like they are friends of the owner or people who have not stayed at a nice hotel and don’t know any different.

I had high expectations for this stay but left disappointed. Rooms are equivalent to motel 8. Refrigerator smelled and worked poorly. Air conditioner barely got the room cool. No chairs in the room and no balcony. Furniture old and damaged. No balcony. Bathroom door would not lock or stay closed. The courtyard is still a really cool place to hang out but is not being groomed. They do have a very nice open air beach bar with live music. They also offer beach chairs and umbrellas from 9-5. After and before that which is my favorite time to be on the beach you have to sit in the sand. Parking was in a alley on each side of the building. The staff was top notch but it seems like the owner stopped putting money into it years ago. First time ever writing a bad review about a place I stayed

Beds are comfy & shower is string👍 Parking us a challenge; narrow & only one way in/out - on the same lane👎

Having the room so close to the beach and bar was an amazing experience. Will come back to this hotel next time I want to visit Saint Pete Beach ⛱️🏖️🌞

I wish they had an area where people with late flights can shower and get dressed after they check out

Really enjoyed my stay but the parking is horrible

My stay was really pretty good. The walls in my room were quit thin, if you know what I mean. At night, at times after the bar closed it was a bit loud. The staff were all very nice. Henry from the front desk was so nice and helpful. He carried my heavy suitcases down the steps for me. I really like having the lounge chairs at the beach included. We had come to the beachcomber for years originally when it was a best western, days inn, then beachcomber. We stayed there for about 24 yrs until it got too expensive for a family. This year 8 got a deal on Black Friday. I have known Mark and Sarah at Jimmy B’s for as long as they have worked there, so the drinks are always good! All in all, it was a great stay!

We loved the atmosphere of the place during our 2 day stay. We will be back.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Clean and the staff was very nice - cute rooms and close to the beach Parking is virtually non existent and you have to BACK out the same way you come in and hope someone isn’t coming in or do a 15 point turn trying to get out and not hit another car and the thumping from the bar went on for hours and we were at the other end of the property. And if you are sensitive to smells, avoid the lobby at all costs - the smell in it is very, very strong and you can’t get away from it - not an odor, rather a very strong fragrance that you can almost taste. Fortunately the rooms do not have the same scent.

    very pleasant and covenant. N/A

Property was great, clean and the rooms were very quiet. It was great having Jimmy B’s on property for food, drink and a good music.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Otherwise bar, beach access and general resort very good.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Overall the property was just very different than pictures depicted online. There was active construction, the property seemed dated and not as clean and “newly renovated” as the website portrayed. The bar, Jimmy B’s, was fun on the surface but upon closer examination was EXTREMELY dirty (just to the naked eye looking behind the bar areas) and had an obvious odor to it. Was fine for a quick one night stay but I would not go back or recommend.

    Exceptional

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Location. Pools and beach bar. Housekeeping is only ever other day, not good for a hotel on the beach as sand gets everywhere. When they did come after 2 nights, they only took out garbage and left clean towels. They didn't change sheets or make beds. Not acceptable when paying $250 a night for a room.

We arrived on a Saturday night at midnight to a lobby full of drunk young adults. Nearly an hour later we were sent to our room, which we found was dirty. And I don't just mean that the housekeeper forgot it. There was trash behind the bed & nightstand. There was one place to plug anything in & it was on one side of the bed, leaving the next person to charge their electronics in the ONE other outlet in the room. The couch was stained, the mattress felt like it hadn't been changed out since 1979. The bathroom was filthy. The shower had not been cleaned; there was hair, dirt, dust, sand, mold all over the shower. There was toothpaste or lotion smeared on the shelf in the bathroom. The windows & the coverings were inadequate, outstated, and also dirty. The entire facility except for the lobby felt like it hadn't been updated since the 90's. The lobby was polished with newer furniture, and smelled nice. It almost felt like a trap once we got up to our room & saw the tragedy of the room. We decided to go to the "sister company" which was the Hilton next door. I spent about 2 hours back & forth between the hotel & Expedia trying to get my riembursment. I will likely not use Expedia in the future due to the major inconvenience of having to fight to get my money back.
