Staff tried to help as much as they could, even though no one speaks English so we had to communicate via Google translate. not convenient.... location was definitely good. WARNING TO WESTERN TRAVELERS: This hotel uses a central 'Lockout' system. In April, you cannot turn on the AC. My room was 29°C (84°F). At $200/night, you expect climate control. Avoid this hotel in Spring/Fall if you like to sleep in a cool room." specifically when the hotel publicizes the fact that there is individual room AC control. it is a lie

Stayed at this hotel more often thanks to the convenient location. Once you walk out the hotel you are in the heart of Ikebukuro. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and I highly recommend this place. I shipped a package to the hotel and when I checked in, I also received my package which was very convenient. The only drawback is that this hotel makes use of physical keys, when you are leaving the hotel you need to leave the key behind. And when you come back you have to request your key. However the staff is really friendly which makes it no problem.

It’s very convenient, located at centre of Ikebukuro. Good value and nice staffs The lobby is newly renovated, however, the inside of the property remains kind of old fashion. Despite the interior, functionality of facilities is good. Room is typical Tokyo size: very small. I also don’t like the fact that you have to leave the key at lobby every time you go out.

Rooms had very poor air conditioning. However, we were able to open the windows which helped a lot. Would have been more uncomfortable if it was warmer.

Great locations. Comfortable rooms and the property is clean throughout. Key need to be left at front desk every time you go out but the front desk is always very kick and efficient so it is a minor inconvenience.
