The location was ok. When I checked in at Shinjuku Sky Hostel, it was dirty and unsafe. There was nowhere to store my laptop or passport, and the bathrooms were so dirty I was afraid to take a shower. There were bright lights in the dorm until the middle of the night so I could not sleep. I stayed one very uncomfortable night and asked to be refunded for the next night but they. I was also charged 600 yen each day for breakfast. In the morning I was offered a cup of instant noodles. I took photos of the dirty dorm, which had holes in the walls. I rebooked for the night a different hotel even though I was refused a refund. Being able to sleep through the night, and being able to leave your belongings securely--these things are bare minimums. Charging 600 yen for a cup of instant noodles and calling it breakfast is ridiculous.

The neighborhood was quiet. When I checked in at Shinjuku Sky Hostel, it was dirty and unsafe. There was nowhere to store valuables, and the bathrooms were so dirty I was afraid to take a shower. The dorm was brightly lit until the middle of the night. The walls and surfaces were grimy and there was a hole in the wall. I was charged 600 yen for breakfast, which turned out to be a cup of instant noodles. I stayed one very uncomfortable night and asked to be refunded for the next night but they refused to refund me. The staff was rude and unhelpful. I have stayed at many hostels in Japan in the past and they were clean and lovely, so I was shocked that this place was such a slum.

It’s for poor people i thought in japan even the hostel is cheap it is clean Dirty and far

Big room with low price.

The facility exceeded my expectations as the pods were comfortable and climate controlled. Not a capsule so you can sit upright. Cool that it has a kitchen and washer and dryer. No television, cafe is closed, not enough staff at front desk

Location, privacy and the friendliness of the staff Curtains, floors and bathroom were not very clean. Hand soap was empty and was not replaced for the days I stayed.

Very good

The train connections were decent, which helped us get around Tokyo. The hostel is in a relatively quiet area and offered a budget-friendly option for staying near Shinjuku. The space was very small and felt quite congested. The facilities were poor and not well-maintained, which made the stay less comfortable. While it's in the Shinjuku area, it still felt far from the main attractions and prime spots.

Location Lack of cleaning and no very pleasant accommodation

Really amazing location. About a minute walk to the station, so there is really easy access to downtown Tokyo. The staff were very nice and responded quickly to messages. Plenty of showers to use. Nice hostel! N/A

The room is not as expected

Convenient location. About a minute from Nakai Station and roughly five away from the Ozai Subway Line Nothing really

Good location I wanted to book a room with a bathroom, but in this case, the “bathroom” meant ONLY a shower but the toilet and the washbasin was outside the room…

Near to the train station Bed is to old and need a new repaint for the room

It was a nice double bed instead of two singles like most places in Japan I've stayed. Had our own shower and toilet. It was not the cleanest place I've stayed and the cafe/bar was not open and was only a tiny little area

the room was unclean... remnant of previous user was evident, there was shit on the toilet, a used toothbrush was in the sink... the duvet had hair, maybe from previous room user. there was like a stain in the duvet that looks like it was not even been wash, seems like a new stain from soysauce. the microwave had food crumbs that looks like it came from a fried chicken...

Location close to stations. For the price, at least I got a fairly wide private room near Shinjuku. Enough for a place to stay the night, not really for leisure. The room doesn’t have any window so there’s a lack of fresh air, my room smells of aircon.
