Sands Ocean Club Resort

Everything was good.

Our room smelled like something died. It was not pleasant. We just tolerated it since we were only in there to sleep. The room was very small. There was dirt, sand, trash under the dresser and behind door in bathroom when we arrived. Someone using a room key came into our room while my 15 yr old niece was getting out of the shower. When I went downstairs upset about it, they gave me new keys but that was it. Not sure what I expected to happen but we were very upset about the incident. The parking garage is horrible. Even in a smaller car, I felt like I was going to hit the walls making the sharp turns. I am not sure that I would stay here again. It was not horrible but it wasn't great.

They have an odor. Not as advertised in pictures frankly not worth the price. I found a cockroach in my room. Never stayed here again

The view and access to the beach. The pools were great. Everything you need was there including food to eat. They help pack/unpack as well. Brian was amazing.

The resort was incredibly accommodating, offering everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. Our room was clean, comfortable, and featured a beautiful oceanfront view that made every morning special. The rates were very affordable, especially considering all the amenities available on-site. We loved having multiple pools and hot tubs to enjoy throughout our stay, along with the convenience of on-site restaurants, laundry facilities, and a beach bar just steps from the sand. The resort truly has something for everyone. What stood out the most was the outstanding staff. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and welcoming from beginning to end, making our experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, and affordable oceanfront resort with excellent amenities and exceptional customer service, I highly recommend Sands Ocean Club Resort. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be returning again!

Staff was especially accommodating; really enjoyed working with Sam at front desk. She was knowledgeable, friendly and our stay was made more enjoyable because of her efforts. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends traveling to Myrtle Beach. We only had to venture offsite for groceries, special shows and souvenirs shopping.

Overall Good Choice! Would stay again.

The rooms were not clean and the bathrooms were not maintained very well. The room service only provides new towels and nothing else. Would not recommend.

The biggest frustration was parking. We spent quite a while driving through all five floors of the garage looking for a spot, only to find out after going back to the lobby that there was a second parking garage across the street. This information should have been provided at check-in. The garage elevator was also out of service for part of our stay. The “free lunch” advertised is somewhat misleading. It’s limited to either a hamburger or hot dog, chips, and a small can of soda, so don’t expect a full lunch. Housekeeping was another disappointment. During our stay, the room was never cleaned. The hotel only offered towel replacement and trash removal. We’ve stayed at many hotels where daily cleaning was included, so this was unexpected. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay, and we have no complaints about them. The room also had a noticeable moldy smell. While we eventually got used to it, it was noticeable upon arrival. For the price, I suppose you get what you pay for. However, there are likely better hotel options in Myrtle Beach for a similar price, or for just a little more. If you’re looking for a basic place to stay, this may work, but if you’re looking for a nicer experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Overall, you pay for location, but I would never stay there again.

Our rented suburban broke down as we were packing up to leave, the staff tried to jump it for us and a manager came out to make sure we were OK. Brian, one of the staff out front, helped us continously and stored our luggage for us while scrambling to find a rental. Just wanted to shout him out!

Clean rooms, beach and pool

The room was clean but old looking the bed was ok. Room really need painting and appliances was good. Laundry room was not in good condition 😕 only 4 dryers work. Building needs maintenance really bad

The room was not cleaned well. The towels provided for the pool were not clean permitted on the beach so this made our trip a little difficult as we were going there for the beach and had nothing to sit on unless we paid for a chair on the beach.

No reason to leave the property. Beach, bar,pool and food all in 1 place. What could be better? Som one threw up in the pool and was reported to front desk but no one came out to attend to it
